A shared workspace and conversation for people you invite directly. Web-room invites do not grant Discord access.
A room is opened here and joined with an invite code, by anyone on any platform. It belongs to you, not to a server, and it is the only one of the two you can start from this page.
A Discord room is available to everyone who can use Ergod in that Discord channel. Each person chooses the shared room or their own agent. It has to be started in the channel itself.
Both share one workspace and one history, and in both each person's turns come out of their own usage.

Usage
Usage measures the work a turn takes, not how many times you asked. A one-line question and a build that reads forty files are not the same slice of this meter, which is why there is no message count on this card.
Longer conversations, bigger models and generated images all cost more. The bar beside each model on Settings shows how much of this a model spends per turn.

The defaults Ergod uses when it writes, reasons and creates images — and your own provider key, if you use one.
Which model answers you. Applies everywhere you use Ergod — here and in Discord. Listed cheapest first; the bar shows how much of your usage each one spends per turn. Picking one here saves it; change it any time from the pill above the conversation.
Which model draws when you ask for an image. Images and text share the same usage, so a pricier one here spends the same allowance your turns do.
Your usage stretches about five times further when turns run through your own Claude, GPT, Gemini, Grok or OpenRouter account.
- Add a key for a provider (the ? above says where one comes from).
- Turn it on. You pay that provider directly; it works on every plan, including Free.
A key comes from the provider's own developer console, not from Ergod: Claude, GPT, Gemini, Grok or OpenRouter. That provider bills you for what you spend through it.
Once saved, a key is never shown back to this page — not even one you just pasted. Replace it by saving another, or turn it off to put your turns back on your plan's usage; both leave the key where it is until you remove it.

Choose the services Ergod may use while it works. These are separate from your sign-in methods.
Ergod can clone, commit and push to your repositories when you ask it to.
- Make a token at github.com/settings/tokens with the
reposcope (the ? above has the details). - Link it here, then ask — “clone my-org/site and fix the footer”. Nothing is pushed without a request.
Signing in with GitHub does not grant repository access. The token is never shown back to you.

want Ergod to touch.
Give it an expiry you are happy with — when it lapses, cloning and pushing start failing and nothing here changes on its own. Paste a new one into the same field to replace it.
Shell commands get the tokens they need — npm, PyPI, Docker Hub — without you pasting a secret into chat.
- Link a token under the provider’s name.
- When a command needs it, Ergod requests it and you approve; the token arrives as an environment variable for that command.

Tools from services you choose — your issue tracker, your docs, an internal API — that Ergod can use in every session.
- Add a hosted server with its URL, and a token if it needs one.
- Ask for something the service does; the server’s tools are there. Disable one here without removing it.
Connected servers give Ergod tools from services you
choose. Add hosted servers here; install local servers with
/mcp add in Discord, which this
account cannot reach yet; link Discord under Sign-in methods on
Account.
MCP is an open standard for giving an assistant tools it did not ship with — your issue tracker, your docs, an internal API. Connect a server here and its tools become things Ergod can use on your behalf, in every session.
The protocol and a directory of existing servers are at modelcontextprotocol.io.
Run work in your Ergod workspace from Claude Code, Cursor, VS Code or any MCP client. The task runs here, on your files, and the results come back to the tool that asked.
- Create a key below and copy it — it is shown once.
- Paste the one-line config for your client. Ergod's tools
(
run_task,get_task_status,list_artifacts,get_artifact) appear in that tool.
A key below lets an MCP client sign in as you, run a task in your own container, and fetch the files it produced. The work happens here, not on your machine, and the files stay between sessions.
Your spending cap and usage apply exactly as they do in chat — a task started this way is an ordinary turn.
Copy it now. This is the only time it is shown. We store only a fingerprint, so we cannot show it to you again — if you lose it, revoke it and make another.

This lets your agent run work and retrieve files.

Shared channel sessions
Members can choose the channel's shared agent, history,
and workspace, or their own. Replies and files posted in the channel
stay visible either way. Start a new room with
/share-session in the channel itself.
Your links
Anyone with a link can open it without signing in. Revoking breaks the link immediately. Only links listed in the public gallery are discoverable.

Play links and invites
Open to everyone in the room, and nobody else. To share one further, open it and choose Share from the player.
Each code admits one person and expires in a day. Revoking a code makes it useless before anyone spends it.
Sharing creations
Sharing a reply captures that reply and its listed sources. Sharing a personal workspace file captures that file and the assets it uses. Both create an unlisted public link anyone can open without signing in. The link is not private or listed in a gallery, and you can revoke it from Shared links.
Choose Submit to gallery beside one of your public links. It becomes discoverable only after developer review. Review applies to that exact snapshot and does not guarantee safety or accuracy. Shared channel links keep their existing channel-access rules.
Collaborators
They read and write the same files as you, in the same sandbox. Your memory and your other sessions stay yours. Free accounts can collaborate — only you need a paid plan.
Send this to the person you want to share with. It works once, and expires in a day.
Add by Discord user ID instead
Right-click someone in Discord and choose Copy User ID. You may need Developer Mode on in Discord's Advanced settings. Both of you need Discord for this one — an invite does not.

Add Ergod to a Discord server
Run Ergod in a server you already use. You need Manage Server there. Once it is in, this page is where you configure how it behaves.

These settings belong to the server, not to you. You need Manage Channels to edit them. The policies below affect every member; the first-choice recommendation guides members who have not saved their own choice. Your own defaults — model, memory, workspace and channel routing — are on Settings.

Shared channel sessions
A shared channel session gives members a shared agent, history, and workspace. Each person can choose that room or their own agent; replies and files posted in the channel remain visible to the channel either way.
The sponsor provides the workspace and its storage. Everyone else still spends their own usage, so being in one costs a member nothing and needs no plan.
Open one with /share-session in the
channel itself. Detailed room controls remain in Discord because
this page cannot see which channels you are in.

Models
One switch. Every tier falls back to this, and every user who has not chosen their own model runs on it. Free text so the registry never blocks a new id; the server still validates the shape.
First-turns routing. Puts a free user's first few lifetime turns on the model below, then falls back to the tier default. Off stores an explicit off — it beats the config file.
System switches
Process-wide, and they apply to everyone. Each one says whether it takes effect now or at the next restart, and what it falls back to if you clear it.
Macro analytics
Aggregate counts for the selected window and the applied revenue account filter. No user IDs, message text, or file paths are exported; only the number of custom revenue exclusions is included.
